N2 - The buildings of the health centers are created to attend a specific number of patients and depending on their level of care within the service network, they have certain medical specialties as part of their offer, however, as time progresses they are presented demographic differences that affect demand and it is even necessary to eliminate or incorporate new services. This situation forces to adapt the available infrastructure conditions and affects the flow of the patient throughout the process generating waiting times and dissatisfaction. The objective of this work is to analyze through Systematic Layout Planning (SLP), how the flow of patients in a health service is affected by the distribution of the different elements that compose it. Aspects that negatively impacted the flow of the patient were identified, such as not having demarcated areas for patient waiting and displacements, areas with a high functional relationship separated by large distances, which forced greater travel and on the other hand areas that should have a null relationship However, they were close to each other. After the diagnosis it was possible to propose an improvement that corrected these situations.
